Harley-Davidson Japan Brings Riders and Custom Bikes Together at BREAKOUT SUNSET RIDE in Osaka

Harley-Davidson Japan brought Breakout owners together to meet, exchange custom ideas and enjoy a seaside gathering in Osaka, with the model’s first official owners’ meeting held as part of the #MyBREAKOUT Project.

For Breakout fans, the appeal may begin with its long, low stance and wide rear tyre. Once owners add their own details, however, bikes built on the same platform can take on very different personalities. Harley-Davidson Japan made that variety the starting point for bringing riders together at BREAKOUT SUNSET RIDE.

The event took place on 26 September 2026 at SENNAN LONG PARK in Sennan, Osaka Prefecture. Added as an evening programme following BLUE SKY MEETING Osaka–Sennan, it turned the seaside venue into a meeting point for Breakout owners, with free admission for visitors.

The gathering formed part of the #MyBREAKOUT Project, which invited owners across Japan to share photos, videos and the stories behind their custom builds on Instagram. Bikes from different model years and a wide range of custom styles were welcome, with participating custom-bike posts also considered for the event’s contest.

The announced programme included Custom Contest awards, a talk with fellow Breakout owner Masato (魔裟斗), special custom-bike displays and evening photo opportunities with decorative lighting. It gave owners a chance to meet, talk and look closely at one another’s bikes beyond the images they normally see on a screen.

For readers unfamiliar with the name, Masato is a former Japanese kickboxing star and a two-time K-1 WORLD MAX champion, winning the title in 2003 and 2008. Thai fight fans may also remember his bouts with Buakaw. Now known as a television personality and motorcycle enthusiast, his involvement brought his own story and enthusiasm for the Breakout into the owners’ community.

After the gathering, the official website thanked those who attended despite the rain. The #MyBREAKOUT Project also continued with a test-ride campaign at Japanese dealerships from 1–25 October 2026, offering commemorative gifts subject to each dealer’s terms and availability.

The appeal of this gathering lies in using a single motorcycle model as the starting point, then letting each owner’s tastes, custom choices and personal story give the meeting its character. It is another example of how Harley-Davidson Japan uses custom culture to build connections between riders.

Image notes: The opening, custom-bike and venue images were published by Young Machine / WITH HARLEY before the event as promotional material. They do not document the gathering on 26 September 2026.
